I recently competed at the Colorado Springs Invitational. I competed in the 2 memorial dances. The dances were the cha cha and the rocker foxtrot. They were in memory of Frank Frey and Ashleyann Carlson. I didn't know either one personally but I heard that they were great people. It was a super fun event not only because it was for a great cause but because there was no pressure. It was all about having fun and skating to ...
This year I decided to go crazy on an artistic program. One day I saw this guy perform on Americas Got Talent. His performance was really cool and I thought, what if I tried that on ice. It was a crazy thought but why not give it a try. So we constructed the costume, which was a long long process. Then once we got the costume constructed we packed it all up and flew it all to Wisconsin so that I could compete in my old rinks local ...

I got to skate on the lake at Keystone. It was so beautiful with the mountains in the background. Also it was snowing when I went which made it even more beautiful. The lake was really big and had a christmas tree in the middle. On the rink it also had a closed off section for if you wanted to play a hockey game or something. It was so beautiful and I had a ton of fun. If you are ever up there for skiing or even if you go up there just to skate on the ...
This year I was in 2 different christmas shows. The first one I participated in was in Wisconsin. I did it with one of my good friends Naihua (@naihuaskates on instagram). We skated to "I Want a Hippopotomaus for Christmas". She dressed up a hippo and I dressed up as a little girl. We choreographed the whole program by ourselves and it turned out pretty good:) I had so much fun performing it and I hope you enjoy watching it!
Along with freestyle I also work on ice dance a little bit. I am almost done with all of my gold dances! I think ice dance is so fun and it helps develop your skating skills as well as posture. If you thinking about doing some ice dance I definitly recommend you try! You can watch some of my recent Ice Dance tests right here!

Building a zamboni or "homeboni" is very simple. We used 1 inch PVC pipe. Glued it together in the shape you see in the picture.
Once you hook a hose to it, you just need to adjust the water to the right amount. The right amount is very hard to know. We put one hole in the top T so we could easily see the water flow. After a few trials we know how much to adjust based on the top hole. On our homeboni we adjust until the water lands on the outside ...
